Mario Mercado completed a BS in Mathematics and a BA in Economics. Upon graduation he worked at GPN, a Business Consulting Firm based in Mexico specialized in technology transfer. After that, he continued his education joining a graduate specialization program in Applied Statistics and then a Master program in Economics. Then he and other partners founded Zigma Statystyka Konsulting, a statistics consulting firm. He is responsible for having written many of the articles that appear on the Center on Business and Poverty’s website.
