Researchers in Germany have developed a renewable energy storage system capable of providing onsite storage for locally-produced energy.

Researchers of the EEBatt project, funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, have developed the ‘Energy Neighbor’ – a stationary battery storage system designed to reserve locally-generated energy to meet demand during times of high consumption.
