For what we believe is the second time in the world, an ongoing class will be taught as part of a major MBA program. The Said Business School at the University of Oxford will have classes taught by John Hoffmire – beginning in both September of this year and April of next year.

The focus of each class will be Employee Stock Ownership Plans and employee ownership through stock options. Participating in the first class will be Ken Winslow of Benefit Capital Southwest; Ewan Hall and David Erdal, Baxidale Partnership; Jonathan Michie, President of Kellogg College at Oxford; and Ruth Yeoman of Kellogg College. Jonathan and Ruth run Oxford’s Centre for Mutual and Employee-owned Business.

John Hoffmire is director of the Impact Bond Fund at Saïd Business School at Oxford University and directs the School of Business and Poverty at the Wisconsin School of Business at UW-Madison. He runs Progress Through Business, a nonprofit group promoting economic development.
